They are on a mission to transform how people think about the "daily dose" of coffee Where did it start? In Chamblee, GA Where is this cafe located? 5352 Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA When did it start? 2023 How many locations are there now? Only one location What’s unique about this place? The place feels clean and has a modern feel in an old building, with plenty of local art on the wall. It is in the up-and-coming downtown Chamblee area that has become a local destination with restaurants and shops and with an easy walk from MARTA. There is plenty of free parking onsite and along the street What kind of food and coffee do they serve? They have a good selection of seasonal drinks, including the watermelon coffee soda and the Georgia fog as well as traditional coffee options including flat white, cortado, mocha, and their daily brew coffee with beans that are sustainably sourced. They also have pastries such as croissants from the locally renowned Alon's Bakery & Market

Dancing Goats Coffee Bar - Buckhead Who are the founders? Larry and Cherie Challain opened the first Dancing Goats Coffee Bar after launching the Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters out of a passion to make the greatest coffee in America Where did it start? Olympia, Washington Where is this cafe located? In Buckhead at 3167 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA When did it start? 1988; Opened their first roastery in Atlanta in 1994 How many locations are there now? 9 locations total; 5 in Washington state; 4 in Atlanta including: Buckhead, Midtown, Decatur, and Ponce City Market What’s unique about this place? The creative name Dancing Goats is based on an Ethiopian legend about a goatherd discovering his goats full of energy and dancing after eating a small fruit from a shrub. The goatherd ate the fruit also and was dancing too. He had discovered coffee. It's also an authentic Washington Coffee shop experience, especially on a rainy Atlanta day What kind of food and coffee do they serve? Batdorf & Bronson’s Dancing Goats® signature blend is excellent as an espresso or drip coffee. They also have a good variety of hot lattes, teas, and cold drinks which can be customized with other flavors like chocolate or vanilla. Henris Bakery & Deli - Buckhead Who are the founders? It was founded as by Henri Fiscus, who immigrated from France just after WWI and worked in restaurants in NY before coming to Atlanta to be a pastry chef for the Biltmore Hotel Where did it start? At the corner of 10th and Peachtree Streets in Midtown Atlanta. Henri purchased a prior restaurant at that location with the desire to use his skills to serve Where is this cafe located? In Buckhead at 56 East Andrews Drive NW Atlanta, GA When did it start? In 1929 at the Midtown location. How many locations are there now? Henris has since grown to 7 locations What’s unique about this place? The French roots of the place are evident in the quality of everything including the food, pastries, the design and character of the place, and the customer service. What kind of food and coffee do they serve? They have a large selection of quality sandwich options that would rival any New York deli including pastrami on rye, roast beef, and French Dip. They also have high quality pastries including croissants, tarts, and truffle cakes. Chris Mcleod, a native of Sydney, Australia, came to America as a commodities trader but saw a gap in the market for the type of quality cafes more common in Sydney Where did it start? In a shipping container in the Westside Provision District Where is this cafe located? At the front of the Atlanta History Center at 130 West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead When did it start? 2016 How many locations are there now? 4 Locations; Brash has grown from the shipping container at 1168 Howell Mill Road to two full-sized coffee shops, one at the Works at 1295 Chattahoochee Ave NW in the Upper Westside and one at the Atlanta History Center at 130 West Paces Ferry Road NW. They also have another shipping container along the Eastside Beltline at 667 Auburn Ave, NE What’s unique about this place? There is an attention to quality and authenticity in everything the business does. With coffee, they source their beans directly from trusted farmers and each of their locations offers a unique experience in interesting settings What kind of food and coffee do they serve? Spiller Park Coffee Who are the founders? James Beard award-winning chef Hugh Acheson and talented barista, Dale Donchey, who also started Steady Pour House Where did it start? As a coffee kiosk in Ponce City Market When did it start? 2015 How many locations are there now? 4 Locations; the coffee kiosk at Ponce City Market; the full-size coffee shop at 2929 North Druid Hills Road in Toco Hills; in the Westside at 2275 Marietta Blvd NW, and most recently in South Downtwon at 233 Mitchell Street What’s unique about this place? The theme of the coffee shop is based on the historic Atlanta baseball stadium, Spiller Park, that was built in 1924 on Ponce De Leon Avenue for the Atlanta Crackers. Some elements include walls designed to resemble the pine tar on a bat, Hoolie, the bear mascot name referenced in several places, including the WiFi password What kind of food and coffee do they serve? The coffee includes two George Howell varieties from Guatemala and Colombia, and Ethiopian Beans from Intelligentsia One of the most unique beverages is the Cola-Cocktail, which includes a combination of tea syrup that is filled with Coke and a shot of espresso. The combination is then poured into a mason jar and topped off with coconut crème and star anise to create a Milky Way effect. Jared Karr and Jules Tompkins, who first met in high school and were reconnected over a shared love for specialty coffee Where is it Located? At 255 Ottley Drive, Atlanta, GA in the newly renovated Armour Yards. The stadium seating in the main foyer provides a great place to study or meet with friends over a good cup of coffee How many locations are there now? You can subscribe to the many clubs such as the Scuba Club, Yacht Club, or Titanic Club and receive coffee at your doorstep every four, two, or every week, respectively. Just Love Coffee Café Where is it located? Just north of the 285 perimeter in the ground floor of an apartment building located at 1110 Hammond Drive, Sandy Springs, GA. Parking is free for patrons of the building When was it built? The company was first founded in 2009. The idea originated with the founder, Rob Webb and his wife on a flight to Ethiopia to meet their newly adopted children. He decided to start a business with the purpose of making hand-roasted coffee to help others who were passionate about adoption and wanted to live lives of love. What’s Unique about this Place? Just Love is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in addition to great coffee. They have a fun and inviting atmosphere where children are welcome and arcade games can be spotted at certain locations Why Should I Care? The company was founded with the purpose of creating a for-profit venture that could help families offset the high costs of adopting children. They started online, supplying coffee to offices in Nashville, TN. They were able to donate $100,000 in the first year and proved that their model could work. Their first physical location was in Murfreesboro, TN, and has now grown to 25 physical locations in several states. Visiting Just Love provides the opportunity to take part in their mission while enjoying great food and coffee |
